Why we give

For Adventists, giving is returning.

We believe the tithe is not giving but returning. It is a declaration that everything we have belongs to God. Offerings are our response to His grace. No one needs to give in order to belong here.

Malachi 3:10Malachi 3:10Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.King James Version
Give securely

Give through AdventistGiving Canada.

Your gift goes through the denomination’s own giving platform, straight to the Oakville SDA Church fund. Charitable receipts are issued for Canadian donors.

Where it goes

Three ways to give.

Tithe

The first tenth, returned to God. It supports pastoral ministry and the wider mission of the church.

Local Offering

Above the tithe, for local church operating expenses, outreach, and the needs of our own community.

Special Projects

Designated gifts for specific initiatives. Ask the treasurer where the need is greatest.

He is returning. Every eye will see Him. (Acts 1:11Acts 1:11Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.King James Version)
